“Matematica-Attiva” Stage

The Matematica-Attiva Stage engages students in activities taken from the everyday life of a mathematician: modeling, analysis of complex situations, formalization of problems, problem-solving, conjecturing, explaining the results and the developed procedures, analysis of the errors, comparison, getting and understanding the results and the techniques of other authors, etc.

The Matematica-Attiva Stage presents Mathematics from different perspectives, to show either its theoretical and analytical functions or how its tools could be applied in other fields.

Be a Mathematician for 1 day and a half

“Mathematician for 1 day and a half” is a 1 day and a half training course devoted to last year’s high school students. It is organized by the Department of Mathematics “F. Casorati” and it usually takes place in the first part of the year.

Open day

Every year the COR-Association (Orientation Centre) plans an Open day to let future freshmen discover the University of Pavia and its courses.
